Export comments (APO)

Version 1.0.0

Exports every comment of a Confluence page and of all its child pages to an Excel file in the APO format: one row per comment thread, with the page, the section, the highlighted text, the comment, the reviewer, the replies and a link back to Confluence.

  1. Show the bookmarks bar: Ctrl + Shift + B on Windows, ⌘ + Shift + B on a Mac.
  2. Drag this button onto the bookmarks bar:
    Export comments (APO)
  3. In Confluence, open the parent page of the deliverable and click the bookmark.
  4. When the summary appears, click Download Excel (APO).
What it can and cannot do. It runs only in your own Confluence tab, with your own login, so it sees exactly what you already see. It only reads: GET requests to the Confluence site you are on. The Excel file is built in your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere else. The file itself contains Confluence content: store and share it like the deliverable it comes from.

Updating

The code lives inside the bookmark. When a new version is published here, drag the button again and delete the old bookmark. The version is shown in the panel and in the Export info sheet of every file.

Dragging does not work? Create a bookmark by hand, name it “Export comments (APO)” and paste this into its URL field:
